Just Film invites to film celebration /birthday party

Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) invites to the 10th birthday of the sub-festival, Children and Youth Film Festival Just Film. Just Film is held in Tallinn, on November 19-28, in Solaris Cinema and Coca-Cola Plaza. In total 49 films will be screened during 89 sessions and all of that in 10 days. The film programme is available at www.justfilm.ee. The tickets are already on sale.

The sub-festival of Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Children and Youth Film Festival Just Film is celebrating its 10th birthday on November 19-28. Differently from last year Just Film has now two homes – in addition to Solaris Cinema the films can be seen also in Coca-Cola Plaza. According to the programme visitors will be offered 49 films shown during 89 sessions and in 10 days. The festival has been divided into 4 sub-programmes – children’s films, youth films, street culture special programme and birthday special programme.

One special thing about this year’s festival is the fact that Väike Tom ice cream has joined Just Film, bringing to the viewers the best films of the year. As a novelty we will be giving out the film award Väike Tom and all visitors of the film festival can participate in choosing the awarded film. You can also win cool prizes.

The opening film is going to be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the first part of the seventh story of the Harry Potter saga, the most successful series in the cinema history. It is interesting to note here, that the first Harry Potter film was released exactly ten years ago.

Everybody is also invited to Öötöö meets Just Film, the grand opening party of Just Film on November 19 in Balou with Tajo (Thursday with Lazers) and party residents TSR, Jaan Jaago and Kaspar Leivo.

The themes of the youth programme of the festival reach from one extreme to another, e.g. the film Oxygen speaks about two brothers who are suffering from lung deficiency. Chatroom is a really surrealistic film about the things that are really happening in cyber world. Dog Pound takes us to a tough youth prison without leaving anybody indifferent at the same time. Hold Me Tight shows us the cruelty of school violence in an honest and sincere manner. The film Youth in Revolt is a youth comedy starring the world famous actor Michael Cera.

The jewel of the children films programme is certainly Ways to Live Forever, a film based on the children’s novel of the same name written by Sally Nicholls, and similarly the Norwegian fairytale Magic Silver. For the first time in the history of PÖFF and Just Film a full-length 3D film "Sammy’s Adventures will be screened. The closing film of the festival is Sandman and the Lost Sand of Dreams, which will be screened on November 27 at 7:00 pm in Solaris Cinema.

The festival tickets are on sale right now. We invite everybody to come and watch the films with the whole class and friends. Tickets are available at all Piletilevi sales points and PÖFF information centres in Solaris Centre, Coca-Cola Plaza and Viru Centre.
